1. Production Operative

We are looking to recruit a hardworking and conscientious production operative to join our production team on a permanent, full time basis. Working on the evening shift between 2pm and 10am. The successful candidate needs to be flexible and a proven team player, with experience in a busy, fast moving, production environment. Ideally you will also have the ability to follow standard operating procedures and be able to work in a methodical and logical manner.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Compliance to all standards practised throughout the site.
  • Assist in manufacture of products to a high and defined standard including labelling and packing of products.
  • Operating of production equipment in adherence to all company policies and procedures
  • Cleaning and maintaining work areas and machinery to company and external standards
  • Completion of all administration required by the company to adhere to internal, legal and accreditation purposes.
  • Preservation of traceability throughout processing & packing.
  • Report any faults or concerns of machinery, hygiene or health & safety to a level 3 staff or manager.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and managers.
  • Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role & progression onto Level 2.
  • Adhere to company stated policies and procedures relating to job and general contact around site.
  • Attend required training to develop relevant knowledge & skills.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • GCSE in English & Maths
  • Able to follow instructions.
  • Able to complete all relevant admin accurately and on time.
  • Comfortable in use of various machinery (on completion of training)
  • Physically fit (manual handling involved)

2. QA & Regulatory Compliance Assistant

Plamil Foods Ltd is the oldest Vegan Company in the UK and provides high quality products worldwide. Due to expansion we are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our busy team as Quality & Regulatory Assistant. This newly created position will suit someone who is very methodical, structured and process driven.

Responsibilities Quality:

  • Ensuring all CCP’s relating to the HACCP are maintained and monitored at all times.
  • Monitoring and evaluating production and processing procedures.
  • Conducting Internal audits and swabbing
  • Assisting in the preparation for external audits
  • Monitoring customer complaints and monitoring and maintaining Continuous Improvement and Non Conformance logs
  • Responding promptly and pro-actively to ongoing technical queries from customers
  • Working with suppliers to ensure that all technical information is accurate and sufficiently detailed (and amendments are dealt with promptly as/when required)
  • Assisting with the maintenance and review of raw material and packaging suppliers records and audits
  • Generating product specifications.

Responsibilities Regulatory:

  • Liaising with external bodies as required.
  • Lead in all regulatory and relevant external accreditations audits ensuring all information is accurate, effective and available on the lead up to and during the audit.
  • Monitoring and reviewing the effectiveness of relevant policies and procedures, updating as necessary to ensure compliance
  • Implementation of policies and procedures surrounding regulatory functions and obligations and advising management as necessary
  • Producing and ensuring all labelling is compliant for both regulatory and external accreditation purposes
  • Input into projects that require regulatory functions to ensure deadlines are met
  • To gain an understanding of the regulatory requirements of the company and ensure we are and remain compliant.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • One years experience in a similar role
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Food Safety
  • Auditing
  • Regulatory compliance knowledge
